Bringing any book to TV is a challenge, but when the title in question is a classic like Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End. the degree of difficulty shoots into the stratosphere. Not only is the novel a revered part of the sci-fi canon, but it's also out of a very different era in both literature and culture. So how's it all going to work when Childhood's End comes to Syfy as a mini-series?
