Tonight, The CW will be airing the 150th episode of Arrow. But although tonight is so far away, we have an exclusive clip to tide you over until we get the full episode this evening. And in said clip, a blast from the (recent) past makes an appearance.
In “Emerald Archer,” the 150th episode of Arrow (which has just been renewed for an eighth season), Kelsey Grammar narrates an in-universe documentary entitled “The Hood and the Rise of Vigilantism” following the exploits and (mis)adventures of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Team Arrow.
In this exclusive clip from tonight's episode, we get a talking head interview for the documentary from none other than the late Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne). In an interview conducted (according to the title card) in 2014 when he was SCPD chief, Lance admits: “I don’t condone vigilantes, or vigilantism.”
“Once people start taking the law into their own hands, you’re on the road to anarchy,” the former cop-turned-mayor confesses to the camera.
But sometimes, as much as he hates to admit it, “the police aren’t enough to deal with it all.”
Check out the exclusive clip below.
“Emerald Archer” airs tonight at 8 pm ET on The CW.
