With The X-Files set to return, it might seem like a strange time to launch a new show about a hidden alien conspiracy that threatens mankind and a lone agent out to get to the bottom of it. Syfy's Hunters, however, has enough of a pedigree that it might stand to thrive even in the shadow of Fox's fan-favorite classic. It's based on the popular Alien Hunter books by Whitley Strieber, and one of the main people behind bringing it to television is Gale Anne Hurd, who's done some producing work on some stuff you might know, like The Walking Dead and Terminator.
New York Comic Con was kind of a coming-out party for Hunters, so we took the opportunity to talk to Hurd, Strieber and showrunner Natallie Chaidez about the show's origins, the nature of its alien menace and what we can expect to see when it debuts on Syfy in April of 2016.
