In Deadpool 2, David Leitch took Domino to a whole new place (with the help of actress Zazie Beetz, of course) after taking over the film series from director Tim Miller. She’s less of a support character, more in-your-face, and with a brand new look for her big screen debut.
Now SYFY WIRE has an exclusive video (one of the home release’s special features) of Beetz introducing the character — with special clips from Ryan Reynolds, David Leitch, Rob Liefeld, and Paul Wernick all talking about the coolest, luckiest anti-heroine out there.
Take a look:
"Showing Domino's powers of luck was the most fun that the choreography team had," said Leitch, as a team of stunt fighters, choreographers, and camerapeople danced around in the clip. "We kept going back to this Rube Goldberg idea," Leitch said. "She does one thing that leads to a series of unlikely events that lead to a thing that she needed to happen right at a critical moment."
All that behind-the-scenes footage only makes the superhero feats seem even cooler. Or at least makes all that endless metatextual marketing more bearable.
Deadpool 2 is out on digital now and will be out on Blu-Ray & DVD on Aug. 21.
