The skies have fallen for the last time. After five seasons and 52 episodes, TNT's sci-fi family show Falling Skies concluded last summer. Now it takes its final bow with the Season 5 and complete series DVD and Blu-ray sets, available beginning Feb. 2.
In the alien invasion show's concluding 10 episodes, former history professor and leader of the human resistance Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) has been rescued from the evil Espheni race by yet another group, the Dornia. He returns to Earth with a plan to unite the humans and bring war to the invaders. Along the way, favorite characters rise up in a ultimate battle, and some are destined to fall. If you missed the episodes when they aired, Falling Skies: The Complete Fifth Season will be available for $49.99 on Blu-ray and $39.98 on DVD.
Meanwhile, fans who want the entire Steve Spielberg-produced show in one set will have the option of a 10-disc Blu-ray and 15-disc DVD box set. The set will include will feature the entire 52-episode series run. In addition, the box set will include behind-the-scenes features, commentaries, character interviews and "Inside the Episodes." Additionally, it will include WonderCon and Comic-Con 2014 panel features, as well as a special collector's coin on-pack. The Blu-ray set will also have an exclusive lapel pin. Falling Skies: The Complete Series will retail for $139.99 on Blu-ray and $129.98 on DVD.
