Want to change your life forever? There's an app for that in the bonkers sci-fi horror-comedy Nekrotronic. And we've got a special look at its weird and wild world where video games and demons collide.

Written by brothers Tristan Roache-Turner and Kiah Roache-Turner, Nekrotronic follows down-on-his-luck everyman Howard North (Hacksaw Ridge's Ben O'Toole), who is scraping by working for his family's sewage removal company. (Their cheeky yet to-the-point slogan is "We Take Your Crap.") Despite the support of his plucky on-the-job partner Rangi (Epine Bob Savea), Ben's pretty frustrated with where he's at in life. But everything changes when a video game hurls him into a real war between good and evil, which spills from the internet into the streets.

Fighting for humanity is a band of dashing demon hunters called Nekromancers, made up of Caroline Ford (Carnival RowOnce Upon a Time), Tess Haubrich (The Wolverine, Alien: Covenant), and David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings, Iron Fist). But on the side of carnage is The Matrix Reloaded's Monica Bellucci as a seductive and soul-sucking demon called Finnegan. Fatefully, Howard teams up with the Nekromancers and goes from taking crap to saving the world.

Take a look at the twisted trailer for Nekrotronic.

Following its film festival tour, the Roache-Turner brothers' follow-up to their critically heralded horror-comedy Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead is finally coming to a screen near you.

The Kiah-helmed Nekrotronic hits VOD on August 9 — but you can get a sneak peek of the wild ride it has in store with SYFY WIRE FANGRRLS' exclusive gallery of stills below.
