One of the best things about summer convention season is the free swag you get on the exhibit floor. People line up, stuffing their backpacks on anything they can get their hands on, and Dark Horse Comics is offering up a pretty sweet giveaway to fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000 — a nine-page ashcan comic book telling a new tale about everyone's favorite janitor from Milwaukee and his lovable little puppet friends.

The ashcan comic is written by the team of Joel Hodgson, Harold Buchholz, Matt McGinnis, Seth Robinson, Sharyl Volpe, and Mary Robinson. The artists are Todd Nauck and Mike Manley, colors by Wes Dzioba and Mike Manley, lettering by Michael Heisler. Standard cover is by Todd Nauck and variant is by Steve Vance.

It's going to be a nice treat for the attendees at San Diego Comic-Con this week. But what about all of you who aren't going? I know, Comic-Con can cause some serious FOMO (fear of missing out), but we've got a nice surprise to all of our readers...

SYFY WIRE has the exclusive first look and extended preview of the entire nine-page ashcan comic in its entirety. Once again, if you're going to be at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, you'll be able to bring this ashcan home if you visit the Dark Horse booth. Otherwise, enjoy it right here, right now. Read it and give us your best riff about it!
