We didn’t have to wait long to get the third Marvel Studios film of 2018 in our hot little hands. Ant-Man and the Wasp hits digital and Blu-ray on October 2 and October 16, respectively.
In anticipation for the release, SYFY WIRE has an exclusive peek at the Wasp-centric featurette, “Return of the Wasp,” which explores how she takes center stage saving the day with Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the sequel.
In the clip, director Peyton Reed and Evangeline Lilly talk about the excitement of having Hope Van Dyne in the Wasp suit, while executive producers Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard enthuse about seeing Hope as a full-fledged superhero and coming into her own as the next-generation superhero following in the footsteps of her parents, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer).
The home video release will include four featurettes, an intro from Peyton Reed, a gag reel including alternate cameo takes from Stan Lee, and two deleted scenes.
SYFY WIRE's senior producer, Tara Bennett, also sat down for an exclusive conversation with Evangeline Lilly about how writing books has changed her perspective on acting, the throughline in the roles she chooses, what it means to be feminine and flawed, and more. Here's Part 1 of our chat with Lilly:
