Admit it, you still watch Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock whenever it airs in remastered form on HBO and are helplessly addicted to its optimistic magic. Well, there's absolutely no shame in that, and for a pioneering puppet musical on premium cable in the '80s, it still has an undeniable charm and eccentric appeal.

In honor of Fraggle Rock's 35th anniversary, those adorable little Fraggles are back in a new stand-alone comic fable rendered in stunning watercolor illustrations and presented in prestige 8" x 8" format ideal for loyal fans to share with new generations of viewers. Published under Boom! Studios' Archaia imprint, this gorgeous resurrection of a cherished childhood favorite is wonderfully written and illustrated by Jared Cullum.

The Muppet maestro's revolutionary children's program ran from 1983 to 1987 and featured a gaggle of Fraggles, Doozers, Gorgs, and Silly Creatures existing in a hidden universe.

Cullum told SYFY WIRE that he was extremely excited when Archaia reached out for the great opportunity to work on Henson's Fraggle Rock.

"Of course I felt nostalgic for my own experiences watching Fraggle Rock," Cullum revealed. "The songs are unforgettable. Then, going back as an adult to research, I was blown away by the strength of character and story. The show was a master class in entertaining believability and also depth of character that has made it resonate and continue to ripple through generations.

"One thing that made the show feel so real was that the characters had flaws or weakness and would have to work their way past a threshold to grow and learn. With each trial or triumph you always felt the sense of care about one another. I tried to imbue my story with this sensibility."

Besides the amusing adventure tale showcased in this four-issue miniseries, it's the refreshing watercolor images that accompany the upbeat story that truly make this fun Fraggle Rock title stand out. Each panel and page has an intimate tone and soft coloration that perfectly suit the retro material.
