Exclusive: The X-Files' Chris Carter reveals "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-monster" secrets

X-philes hoping for a new X-Files episode that might capture the comedic magic featured in some of the best episodes from the show's original run got their wish granted tonight with Darin Morgan's "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-monster." By turns hilarious, bizarre and poignant, "Were-monster" not only addressed Mulder's existential ennui about his lifelong obsession with the weird but gave Duchovny, Anderson and guest star Rhys Darby a grand stage to play in the best possible way.
