A new clip has been released from Syfy’s ambitious space opera The Expanse, and it takes the action to Mars with fan-favorite character Bobbie Draper.

The clip focuses on a team led by Draper (Frankie Adams) out in the wilds of Mars, and gives us our first real look at the new addition in action. Bobbie Draper is a beloved character from the James S.A. Corey book series the show is based on. The first season of The Expanse did a lot of heavy lifting with setting up this ambitious future world, and at least judging by the action we see in this scene, it looks like Season 2 will crank it up to 11.

The first season was a thrill ride unto itself, but it really felt like a prologue to what would be coming next. Fresh off that big reveal in the season finale, and with all the characters starting to come together by the end of the year, the pieces are in place for all-out war in the solar system this year.

The Expanse returns with a two-hour premiere on Feb. 1 on Syfy (Corporate owner of Syfy Wire -Ed.).
