Mild spoiler alert about The Flash in Justice League below!

No one is as excited to see more of The Flash on the big screen than the good man playing him, Ezra Miller. So far, we’ve seen some exciting, albeit brief, cameos in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, which has got us all amped up for his return in Justice League.

Miller is also well versed in the character’s history, which is why he’s felt the need to apologize, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, about one physically small detail that is missing: the ring suit.

As diehard fans will know, Flash’s costume comes out from a small ring that Barry Allen would use to compress and conceal it while going about his day in civilian mode. With one little push, the ring opens to release the chemically treated costume to its full size, allowing Barry to change faster than Lynda Carter's Diana Prince can twirl.

“Well, you know, look,” Miller tells EW. “I can confirm, spoiler alert, his suit does not pop out of his ring [in the movie]. Things have to progress, you know? Original Barry Allen was clearly an incredibly, incredibly clever scientist. We acknowledge and respect that,” he says, adding playfully: “We want to apologize to the fans who are mad about the ring thing.”

Well, Ezra, we admire your honesty – and your knowledge of the scarlet speed demon. And there’s always room to explore the whole ring thing in the upcoming stand-alone Flashpoint, so we won’t get too upset just yet.
