The hit alien invasion series Falling Skies ended its first season with a monster cliffhanger—and the first episode info for season two finally gives us some hints as to where the show will go from there. Potential spoilers ahead!

Season one of the popular TNT series ended with Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) heading off into a spaceship with the alien invaders, but according to the episode descriptions for the first half of year two, it won't take long for him to join back up with the 2nd Mass. regiment.

It seems some folks will be more than a little leery of Tom once his alien vacation comes to an end, and John Pope (Colin Cunningham) has apparently split off to run his own renegade faction. Plus, we also get a feel for which characters should still be sticking around by the midpoint of season two.

Check out the full episode breakdowns below:

Episode 2.01: "Worlds Apart," June 17: Weaver remains in command of the 2nd Mass; Pope commands a renegade group; Tom's loyalties are questioned when he returns; Hal and Ben continue to drift apart.

Episode 2.02: "Shall We Gather at the River," June 17: Tom is haunted by his time with the aliens; Pope plants seeds of doubt; Ben's hatred for skitters grows.

Episode 2.03: "Compass," June 24: The 2nd Mass moves into an airport hanger; Anne grows concerned about the health of the group; the Berserkers create a plan to get rid of Tom; a mysterious visitor arrives.

Episode 2.04: "Young Bloods," July 1: Ben and Hal try to help a young boy while out on patrol; a discovery is made during a search; Matt is put in danger; Weaver is reunited with a family member.

Episode 2.05: "Love, and Other Acts of Courage," July 8: A familiar face returns to the 2nd Mass; a skitter is captured and brought back to the camp as a prisoner; Maggie opens up about her past.

Sound off: Are you looking forward to season two of Falling Skies?
