Killing time before the release of Fallout: 76? Of course you are. Ever want to eat like you’re flush with caps and the world didn’t actually suffer a nuclear war? You might - but then you should stay away from Fallout: The Vault Dweller’s Official Cookbook by Victoria Rosenthal, the first cookbook licensed by the Fallout franchise.

With 78 recipes (so close to 76, c'mon) varying from in-game appetizers (Yum Yum Deviled Eggs) to desserts (Nuka-Cola Quantum, obviously), the book takes Bethesda Entertainment’s Wasteland and actually makes it look appetizing, radiation and all.

And yes, you can even cook these dishes if you only have pre-war meats available to you - like cow and chicken rather than roach and deathclaw.

Fallout: The Vault Dweller’s Official Cookbook is currently available to pre-order for its October 23 release (which will run you about $28 to live like a post-apocalyptic wasteland survivor).
