Video game writer and author of The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy and Girl Squads Sam Maggs stopped by for a FANGRRLS Conversation to discuss all things nerdy! Specifically, Sam was kind enough to chat about her work in the video game industry, writing and publishing books, and other fun tidbits about her experiences.

In Maggs' book Girl Squads, she discusses several badass women from throughout history, such as lady pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read and their adventures on the high seas, sisters who fought off an elephant invasion, and twins who became barrier-breaking Olympic skiers.

Maggs is now a senior writer at Insomniac Games, having previously served as an assistant writer at BioWare. You can learn more about her and the assortment of contributions she's made to the world of geekdom at her official website.
