The Force is strong with this one!  Industrious fanboys have built one of the most iconic spaceships in the Empire's armada.  It's a hulking, half-scale replica of Darth Vader's personal ion-engined fighter that chased down Luke in the Death Star trenches before being smacked into oblivion by Solo's Millennium Falcon.

The German design team Project X1 Props spent more than $20,000 and worked nearly 1,000 hours to build this beautiful badass mockup.  Vader's ship will be revealed and christened at the Star Wars Celebration Europe running July 26-28, 2013, in Messe Essen, Germany.

Check out more shots of this awesome T.I.E. fighter resting in its European hangar below and watch the proud team's cosplay video of its birth.
