It looks like Josh Trank's new take on Marvel's First Family has finally found its big bad villain!

Variety reports that actor Toby Kebbell (Prince of Persia, Wrath of the Titans) has been tapped to don the mask and cape of Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, the arch-nemesis of the Fantastic Four.

Apparently, the role had been chased by several up-and-coming actors, including Jack Huston and Domhnall Gleeson, before Fox decided to offer the role to Kebbell, who’ll soon be seen aping around in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes this July.

If Kebbell signs on the dotted line, he’ll be joining Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Helmed by Chronicle director Josh Trank, The Fantastic Four will hit theaters on June 19, 2015. It certainly seems that the director is going for relatively lesser-known faces to fill out his cast, and with fan reaction decidedly mixed up to this point, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

How do you like Toby Kebbell for Victor von Doom?
