The Game Awards were this week and the news has been coming at us fast and furious. Who cares about holiday shopping when you’ve got this much to occupy your time! We’ve got a new launch trailer for Just Cause 4, Far Cry New Dawn and more! Catch up on the Gamegrrl news for the week ending December 8 below!

The launch trailer for Just Cause 4 is out and ready for your viewing pleasure! The game was released on December 4, and it’s a total blast! Play as Rico Rodriguez and mess with physics on carousels, helicopters, explosive domes and more!

Battlefield V’s live service Tides of War’s first chapter is ready to check out. Chapter 1: Overture has a new map, new stories, and new rewards. The chapter is free to download for all Battlefield V players. 

EA DICE‘s Battlefield V, available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, takes the series back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War II. Lead your squad to victory with new ways to turn the battlefield to your advantage. Season 7 of Fortnite has a brand new bit of goodness, Fortnite Creative. Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It’s all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved.

Battle Pass owners will have access to a private island for the first week of Season 7. During this early access week, Battle Pass owners can invite their friends to play on their island. Starting December 13, all players will have access to a private island for free. You can watch the announcement above. 

Yikes. Bethesda had a snafu this week where some people who submitted tickets for a replacement Fallout 76 canvas bag had their names, addresses and phone numbers leaked. Bethesda has stated that the issues have been resolved. 

Anthem got a new game trailer which was released during The Game Awards this week. It looks pretty fantastic! Here is the info for the game: Through the power of the javelins, skilled pilots called lancers were able to fight back against this perilous world. But a new enemy has emerged, seeking to harness the limitless power of the Anthem. And if they succeed, nothing will stand in their way. “The walls can only do so much, but with the power of the Anthem at my fingertips, I will end all this needless suffering.” Ooh.

We also got an announcement about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order for Nintendo Switch during the Game Awards. You can check it out above.

Finally, we got the official world premiere gameplay trailer from Ubisoft for Far Cry New Dawn, which will be released on February 15 of next year. 

Seventeen years after a global nuclear catastrophe, civilization re-emerges from the chaos to find a world dramatically changed. In a post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, the remaining populace has gathered into different groups, each with their own rules for survival. 

In this new world order, the vicious Highwaymen, led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou, travel from place to place bleeding people dry of all available resources. As the Survivors try to defend their lands against the Highwaymen’s relentless onslaught, it’s up to you to come to their aid and lead the fight.
