Wade Wilson is bringing his own brand of holiday tidings to cinemas next month with Once Upon a Deadpool, a PG-13 recut of Deadpool 2. To enhance the experience, Wade will be reading the story to a grown Fred Savage in a twisted homage to 1987's The Princess Bride.
As the newly released trailer reveals, Savage does not want to be there, but Wade's got him tied up nice and tight. Even so, Savage is able to get off a few good zingers, stating that 20th Century Fox making a Marvel film is akin to Nickelback producing a Beatles song. Ouch! We wouldn't wait to put a cold compress on that severe burn.

The trailer also shows that previously unused footage will be re-incorporated into the movie, like Wade telling an old couple on a bench that he loved them in Pixar's Up. This sequence was included in the deleted-scenes section of Deadpool 2's home release.
“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds told Deadline earlier this month. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”
Once Upon a Deadpool lubes itself up with butter and shimmies down the chimney and into theaters Dec. 12. For each ticket purchased, $1 will be donated to the nonprofit F**k Cancer.
“While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab," said Savage.
