A new short film digs into life in the post-apocalypse, where the planet Earth has essentially lost the ability to sustain its own ecosystem. So, what happens next?
Dubbed Sumer, this CGI short film directed by Álvaro García follows a young person who discovers a bird where there should not be a bird. We won’t spoil it. But from there, one of the last beautiful things left on the planet is finally discovered. The effects are top-notch, and the visuals are stellar. Plus, the film has a nice message at its heart. (Always follow the blue bird?)
Here’s the short’s official description:
For unknown reasons, the Earth's ionosphere has weakened dramatically during the course of the last century, resulting in the collapse of the entire ecosystem. Earth has become an increasingly hostile and uninhabitable place and with no shield to protect it, it is at the full mercy of meteors.
