Always ready to chat with fans about their dead-but-not-forgotten project, Firefly’s Summer Glau (River Tam) and Sean Maher (Simon Tam) brought the love to the discussions at the Emerald City Comic Con. Sitting down in Seattle, Washington, with SYFY WIRE's Tara Bennett, the actors discussed the show’s cult status.

“The little show that could,” as Maher dubs it, is a timeless show worth celebrating, the actors said. Now that their fans have become generational, with preteens learning about the show or inheriting memorabilia from their parents, the actors have begun relating to the newest crop of excited watchers.

The sci-fi show avoids feeling dated thanks to its genre, but moving forward, the Tams talk about where they wish the show could’ve gone. Once you’ve caught up with your favorite Joss Whedon creation, you can continue to tune in to our live stream, which will be broadcasting all of the ECCC panels and live stage talks throughout the fest’s run.
