The first trailer for The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s upcoming horror TV series Outcast has been released.

The first look trailer was unveiled during the Outcast San Diego Comic-Con panel earlier today. The 10-episode series from Cinemax and Fox is based on Kirkman and Paul Azaceta’s comic-book series of the same name. The story follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who’s been plagued by demonic possession all his life. With the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister, Life on Mars), Kyle will try to find answers. But what he discovers could change his fate, and that of the world, as well.

With a pilot directed by Adam Wingard (V/H/S, The Guest), Outcast is set to debut in 2016. Robert Kirkman (who wasn’t at the panel due to a recent surgery) explained the concept in a video showed before the panel began as such: "Like The Walking Dead, we come at things from a different angle."
