The first full trailer for Syfy’s new Grindhouse-style series Blood Drive has finally arrived. Let’s just say it’s definitely taking its inspiration seriously. From cannibals to people-eating cars, this looks to have it in spades.

The series is set in the burned-out future of 1999 (no, that’s not a typo) as the last good cop in town gets caught up in a life-or-death race with deadly stakes. Oh, and did we mention the cars here run on blood? The wild cast of racers look positively deranged, and the footage here measures blood by the bucketload. Syfy really looks to be pushing the limits on this one, and if you’re in the mood for something that is truly bonkers, it could scratch the itch. Because, seriously — this looks positively insane.

The series stars Alan Ritchson (Blue Mountain State), Christina Ochoa (Animal Kingdom), Thomas Dominique, Marama Corlett and Colin Cunningham. That last one should be familiar to fans of anything from Falling Skies to Stargate SG-1.

Blood Drive premieres June 14.
