Genre director Adam Gierasch has a brand-new offering for us, titled House by the Lake from Anvil Entertainment, and we have the first trailer.

Fans will probably know Gierasch from such titles as Fractured, Autopsy, Night of the Demons and Tales of Halloween. House by the Lake is a creature feature that stars James Callis (Battlestar Galactica, 12 Monkeys) and Anne Dudek, who was recently seen in a guest-starring stint in the final episodes of Season 3 of The Flash. They play the parents of an autistic girl who has a mysterious friend called “the fishman” who may or may not be real. Duh duh duh.

Written by Josh Burnell (Boone: The Bounty Hunter), the movie also stars Amiah Miller (Clementine), Natasha Bassett (Hail, Caesar!) and Michael Bowen (Breaking Bad). Here's the synopsis:

“House by the Lake tells the story of the Morgans, a loving yet troubled family hoping to reconnect on their vacation. When their autistic 10-year-old daughter (Amiah Miller) begins to fixate on a mysterious friend who may or may not be real, she retreats further into her own world and family tensions rise to the surface.”

There’s no release date for House by the Lake (yet), but hopefully it’ll debut sooner rather than later. Check it out:
