Capitalizing on the interest in Netflix' presentation of Guillermo del Toro's Trollhunters animated series, Dark Horse Comics will publish a new comic-book version of the fantasy adventure emerging next year.

The first season's 26 refreshingly fun episodes dropped in December 2016 and Netflix has already renewed Trollhunters for a second 13-episode season that will launch sometime this winter.

Dark Horse's Trollhunters: The Secret History of Trollkind graphic novel is primed to roll out in February of 2018, and will be co-written by Trollhunters executive producer and Arrow co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim and Richard Hamilton, co-author of Dark Horse’s How To Train Your Dragon graphic novel The Serpent’s Heir. Interior art will be provided by industry veteran Timothy Green II, (Swamp Thing, Ender's Shadow, Fraction) and the main cover is by the legendary pencils of Bill Sienkiewicz.

Here's the official solicitation synopsis:

“Trollhunters: The Secret History of Trollkind explores Jim’s journey as the first human Trollhunter — defender of good trolls. The secrets of the great troll warriors of the past are crucial tools for the new Trollhunter, and the time has come for Jim to appreciate the battles of Kanjigar the Courageous, who through his own struggles, triumphs, and failures lead the trolls after the Battle of Killahead Bridge through unknown territory, across oceans and continents, and past fearsome foes! With his friends by his side, Jim continues the fight against the Gumm-Gumms and their allies!”

Check out this sneak peek at the Sienkiewicz cover below and tell us if you'll join the quest when this 72-page Trollhunters graphic novel arrives February 14.
