Get ready for an overload of adorable.
Disney recently released the first trailer for their upcoming film, Christopher Robin, which features Ewan McGregor as an older version of the title character. In the trailer, the elder Mr. Robin reunited with his old childhood friend, Winnie The Pooh — once again voiced by the legendary Jim Cummings. The movie will feature Pooh helping Christopher to rediscover the joys of life.
But while it was wonderful to see Pooh himself, and a grown-up Christopher Robin, what about everyone else? The Hundred Acre Wood is home to plenty of famous friends, and the trailer didn't feature any of them. Well, today we have our first look at three of the film's biggest hitters.
Entertainment Weekly tweeted the following image today, which features the new film's versions of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger sitting in beach chairs. Not just sitting — the four of them are... well, there's just no other way to say it: straight up chill-axing.
Joining Cummings as Pooh will be Chris O' Dowd (The Cloverfield Paradox) as Tigger, Brad Garrett (Ratatouille) as Eeyore, and Nick Mohammed (The Martian) as Piglet. The animal cast will also feature Doctor Who genius Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, Sophie Okenedo (The Hollow Crown, Doctor Who) as Kanga, and Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger, Doctor Who, Sherlock) as Owl. The human cast will include Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Pillars of the Earth, Agent Carter), Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Game of Thrones), Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Game of Thrones), and Oliver Ford Davies (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace).
Directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace, Finding Neverland), Christopher Robin will bounce into theaters on Aug. 3. Will you be able to handle such cuteness?
