M. Night Shyamalan's Glass started shooting early in October but we didn't see much from the set beyond the slate for the first shot of the film. Until now.
Glass is the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split, making it a sequel that's technically 17 years in the making. Bruce Willis' David Dunn appeared at the end of Split showing an interest in Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast (James McAvoy). The new film will continue with Dunn searching for Crumb while also revealing that Mr. Glass has a bigger role in all of this than we expected. Split's Anya Taylor-Joy is also returning, but we don't have details on where she fits into all of this.
Thanks to a new image captured by someone on Reddit we also have our first look at Samuel L. Jackson and Elijah Price seems to have fully embraced his villainous Mr. Glass identity wearing an iridescent purple long coat with gloves and pants in various purple shades to match. It's reminiscent of another comic book villain, but Jackson has definitely made it his own.
Whatever he's got planned, he's certainly going to look good doing it.
Glass is set to hit theaters in January 2019.
