New pics and videos from the New York City set of director Scott Derrickson’s (SinisterDoctor Strange have emerged (thank you, Internet), giving us our very first look at Mads Mikkelsen's (Hannibal) mysterious villain and our best look YET at Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as Dr. Stephen Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Martian) as Baron Mordo.

In several of the pics and videos, we see the Sorcerer Supreme and Baron Mordo in action while the *ahem* dynamic duo are running from some assailants -- which no doubt include Mikkelsen's baddie and that lady friend of his. The Sherlock actor is sporting some nasty cuts on his face, as well as the Marvel character’s signature goatee, blue robe, red Cloak of Levitation and the Eye of Agamotto, rumored to contain another Infinity Stone: The Time Stone. Which, within the context of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, makes sense to me.

Other pics show Strange on what could be the doorstep leading to his Sanctum Sanctorum. As you guys can see below, the producers are using green screen to later CGI in what’s behind that door. Whereas in some of the snaps the Sorcerer Supreme is seen emerging by himself sans his Cloak of Levitation, in others he’s seen with Baron Mordo in his full superhero duds.

As for Mikkelsen, the identity of his Marvel Comics big bad is still a mystery -- one that isn't readily answered by these pics, making me even more intrigued than ever as to who he is. Is he playing Dormammu? Mephisto? Or could he be...Nightmare?

I don't know about you, but after Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange is the comic book movie I'm looking forward to seeing the most. Are we November yet? Can I get a TARDIS? In the meanwhile, we can all feast our eyes on the Doctor Strange goodness below.

Doctor Strange also stars Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer) as The Ancient One, Benedict Wong (The Martian) as Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg (Men in Black 3) as Nicodemus West and Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes). The movie is set to open in theaters on Nov. 4, 2016.

What do you guys think? Who is Mikkelsen playing? Are you looking forward to Doctor Strange?
