The first issue of DC Comics’ new All-Star Batman series is set to hit shelves on Wednesday, so we’ve put together a preview of the first few pages and some stunning variant covers. Want a peek at your new favorite Batman comic?

Snyder has said the new series will give him a chance to tackle all the rogues he never got a chance to dig into during his previous efforts, including folks like Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, The Mad Hatter. He’ll also be working with several different artists issue-to-issue, which should certainly shake things up for Bat-fans.

The opening few panels certainly set the stage for a different type of story, as Batman comes crashing through the window of a small town diner, continuing an all-out brawl from outside. Legendary artist John Romita, Jr. handled the art for this issue, and it looks fantastic.
