These are dark times for the Marvel Universe.

Not only is Captain America a Hydra agent (thanks to the Cosmic Cube), but Hydra has won and taken over. As for the rest of our heroes? They're trapped inside the Darkforce dimension that has engulfed New York City. And when dark forces start causing trouble, it's time to call in the Sorcerer Supreme.

In Doctor Strange #22, the good Doctor partners up with The Kingpin, Spider-Woman, and old Ben Urich to try and stave off various hordes of demon creatures and save the city. It's the second issue for the new creative team of writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Niko Henrichon. Here's what editor Nick Lowe has to tell us about this issue.

"Things "get crazy!," according to Lowe. "Hopeless and Henrichon bring their A-game as Doctor Strange ties into Secret Empire."

This is the second issue for Hopeless and Henrichon as they succeed the acclaimed run on the book by the A-list team of writer Jason Aaron and artist Chris Bachalo. That duo was assigned the title to help capitalize on the character's spike in mainstream recognition thanks to the hit Doctor Strange film.

Issue #22 of Doctor Strange hits comic shops in June. Syfy Wire has an exclusive first look at four pages from the issue, with some wild creature action happening in NYC. Check 'em out, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
