First official Star Wars: The Force Awakens shots of Princess Leia, Han Solo and more

Now that the electrifying magic emerging from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens presentation at SDCC has settled to a reasonable buzz, Lucasfilm has released a series of official stills taken during production.

Here, Carrie Fisher is seen smirking in her Princess Leia military attire sporting a more modern hairstyle, Harrison Ford frowning as the scruffy-looking smuggler Han Solo, and creature-effects masks of what appears to be the trap-detecting Admiral Ackbar (or another non-specified Mon Calamari) and lastly, Lando Calrissian's mumble-mouthed co-pilot from Return of the Jedi, Nien Nunb.

With a brand-new trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars VII not expected until this fall, the intimate behind-the-scenes featurette shown in Hall H last Friday and the selective trail of official stills invariably leading up to it, starting with these latest BTS photos below, will have to satiate feverish fans for the immediate future.

Have a look and tell us whether your anticipation meter has leaped to "11" yet.
