A&E has used Comic-Con to launch a new trailer for their upcoming series Damien. And yes, we're talking about the same Damien from the Omen films. The drama comes from former Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara and takes place 25 years after the first movie.

If you're a genre fan, you'll notice Damien is filled with familiar faces. First off, the title character is played by Bradley James, who's best known for his role as King Arthur on Merlin. There's also Scott Wilson (The Walking Dead), Sam Anderson (Lost) and Barbara Hershey (Once Upon a Time).

According to Mazzara, "We see the series as a sequel to that original movie. We're not using the second and third movies as part of our bible." Sorry, Sam Neill fans, The Omen 3 doesn't count!

"This really has a high level of conspiracy," Mazzara continued. "It plays as a conspiracy thriller because everybody wants Damien on their side or eliminated. There are a lot of different groups vying to either control him or eliminate him. There's a thriller aspect to it, which is tricky and something that I haven't done before, and that comes directly out of the original film."

The 30-year-old Damien will have a hard time dealing with his supernatural origins. Watch as he struggles with his true identity in the trailer below.

What do you do you think of the new Damien? Will you watch?
