The director of The Blair Witch Project is going back to the woods with a new found-footage horror flick — but he’s traded in witches for Sasquatch.

Eduardo Sánchez, director of The Blair Witch Project, has been kicking around low-budget horror for the better part of a decade. Now he’s decided to put together a sequel-in-spirit to that groundbreaking found-footage horror tale, and we have the first look below. It looks ... a lot like Blair Witch, actually.

The trailer definitely hits some of the stylistic high notes that made Blair Witch such a fun romp, but we’re curious to see if audiences are still looking for those same shaky-cam horror thrills after scores of imitators. We get attractive young people running, a lot of jumping around, and some tantalizing glimpses of Bigfoot terrorizing the group as if all those "Messin' With Sasquatch" commercials finally got to him and he snapped. The Bigfoot addition is a nice twist, but we need to see more.

The film stars Dora Madison Burge (Friday Night Lights), Samuel Davis (From Dusk Till Dawn), Denise Williamson (Friday Night Lights), Roger Edwards (Captain Phillips), Chris Osborn (Lone Star) and Brian Steele (Hellboy) as the wild Sasquatch.

Here’s the official synopsis:

For five friends, it was a chance for a summer getaway— a weekend of camping in the Texas Big Thicket. But visions of a carefree vacation are shattered with an accident on a dark and desolate country road. In the wake of the accident, a bloodcurdling force of nature is unleashed—something not exactly human, but not completely animal— an urban legend come to terrifying life…and seeking murderous revenge.
