There’s a reason The Exorcist is still considered one of the greatest horror films ever made — there are few things more terrifying than losing control of who you are. Especially when you lose it to a soul-sucking demon.

If you’ve been waiting for a new horror flick to tap into that classic vibe, the first trailer for The Vatican Tapes looks like it might fit the bill. The film follows a 27-year-old woman who is possessed, and the team of priests called from the Vatican to try and exorcise an “ancient Satanic force.” The film stars a few familiar faces, including Kathleen Robertson (Bates Motel), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Michael Peña (End of Watch).

The film has been in development for a while; filming actually started back in 2013. Exorcism films seem to be all the rage in recent years, and it’s hard to tell at this point whether Vatican Tapes will make a worthy entry into the canon, but the footage here at least looks creepy enough.
