Although the premiere of the second chapter of the upcoming Transformers: Titans Return has been teased since this year's San Diego Comic-Con, it seems the wait for a trailer is finally over.
Today, Hasbro and Machinima have released the official first look at the next installment in the Prime Wars Trilogy, which follows last year's Transformers: Combiner Wars.
Fans of the ongoing web series have already been hyped for the debut of the sequel, which hosts a super impressive vocal cast from all corners of genre, including one of the most noteworthy voice actors from both the animated and live-action arms of the Transformers franchise.
Titans Return will star Peter Cullen, who lent the first voice to Optimus Prime back in the 1980s for the animated Transformers show. He's not the only returning player; Judd Nelson will also be reprising his earlier roles as Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime, which he originated for 1986's Transformers animated feature.
Other big genre names include a few from the Star Trek family: Michael Dorn as Fortress Maximus and Wil Wheaton as Perceptor, as well as Nolan North (Uncharted, Assassin's Creed) as Metroplex and Jason David Frank (Power Rangers) as Emissary.
Here's the official synopsis:
“Titans Return” picks up where the destruction of “Combiner Wars” left off. In the series, the gigantic Transformers called Titans are awakened and cause massive problems. Trypticon, a gigantic lizard-like Transformer, rises to wreak havoc on Cybertron, while Windblade and a ragtag team of Transformers must resurrect an ancient ally. The conflict will transform beloved heroes forever — while some Transformers will be blown to oblivion.
