INF Daily has published the first photos taken of Mad Men star January Jones as Emma Frost on the set of the movie X-Men: First Class, the reboot/prequel of the Marvel mutant series that began filming last week in England.

It's evident immediately that Jones is clad in the kind of all-white outfit that is Frost's trademark, although the actress is wearing far more than the sexually free and immodest White Queen usually prances around in. The rather slender Jones is also a lot less voluptuous than Frost, whose cleavage alone has probably raised more than just the sales of various X-Men titles.

Most of the shots show Jones standing around the outdoor location, with one photo catching her in the passenger seat of a helicopter while another features her running past an armed military vehicle. Her stunt double also shows up in a few pics. There's no context or info on the time period, the story locale or what's supposed to be happening, although it's been reported that the movie takes place in the 1960s and chronicles the early years and friendship of future enemies Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik "Magneto" Lensherr (Michael Fassbender).

In the comics Frost was a charter member of the evil Hellfire Club, along with Sebastian Shaw (reportedly played by Kevin Bacon in the film), before she joined the good guys and hooked up with Scott "Cyclops" Summers. We're still not sure if Cyclops—an actual member of the "first class" of X-Men in the comics—will even make an appearance in this movie.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass), X-Men: First Class is scheduled to open on June 3, 2011, and also stars Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Jason Flemyng as Azazel and a whole batch more.

What do you think of Jones as Emma Frost? Does she get you all hot or leave you ice cold? Below are two more pics, and there are even more over at INF.
