Seven weeks ago, it was confirmed that Tom Cruise sustained an injury on the set of Mission: Impossible 6Paramount Studios confirmed to SYFY WIRE at the time that Cruise broke his ankle performing a stunt and the film would go on hiatus while he recovered. Well, looks like he's recovered.

At the time, no one knew how long Cruise would be out of commission. Some estimated his down time could delay production up to nine weeks. Now, fans of the actor and the long running franchise can put their fears to bed.

Tuesday, Cruise was spotted in Brentwood, Essex shooting new scenes for MI:6. Images surfaced online showing the actor back in action and he didn't miss a beat. If you've followed Cruise's career, he prides himself on doing his own stunts. His resume is filled with projects where he's gone above and beyond the call of duty.

With each film, Cruise continues to test his physical limits. The previous installment, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation featured a much-talked about sequence where Cruise literally clung to the side of a moving plane. Fastforward to last summer, viewers saw him tackle an aggressive zero-gravity scene in The Mummy. We can only imagine what's in store for Mission: Impossible 6.

Aside from Cruise, the sequel stars Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Ving Rhames as well as newcomers Henry Cavill and Angela Bassett.

The film is set to open July 27, 2018.
