Despite the fact that we know with near-certainty that the original cast from Star Wars is returning, Disney has announced virtually nothing. But that doesn’t mean we haven’t figured out a few things.
Director J.J. Abrams is getting ready to ramp up work on Star Wars: Episode VII, and quite a few familiar faces have started popping up in London, near Pinewood Studios. Coincidence? We think not.
Harrison Ford, aka Han Solo, was reportedly spotted London’s Hakkasan restaurant, and has also been seen hanging out with pilots. Considering Ford is a flight enthusiast, that makes sense. Plus, he’s got to keep busy until production gets started.
So my do dog Gary has been spotted in London, but apparently without me. Who has he been seeing? Let me know if you have any clues.— Carrie Fisher (@carrieffisher) April 26, 2014
Carrie Fisher, aka Princess Leia, has arguably been the most vocal former star, stating in numerous interviews that she is definitely coming back for the first installment in the revived trilogy. Plus, she’s also dropping not-so-subtle hints on Twitter.
Lastly, that brings us to Luke Skywalker himself: Mark Hamill, who has actually been playing it pretty coy. Luckily for us, not everyone is so sneaky, and fellow Star Wars alum Peter Serafinowicz dropped a nice candid shot of a stately-looking Hamill.
If Abrams is bringing the band together, that must mean they’re close to getting this thing off the ground. Our guess: Some type of official announcement is imminent.
So buckle up, because all things Star Wars are about to heat up in a hurry.
