Someone has finally found a way to get Skeet Ulrich back on our screens. He previously had starring roles on Jericho and the defunct Law & Order: LA, and now he's returning to NBC. This time the actor will tackle the horror genre with the network's upcoming pilot, Babylon Fields.

The potential series has spent years in development, being turned away by multiple networks. Nearly 10 years ago, 2005 to be exact, Babylon Fields was headed to HBO, but they passed. Two years later, CBS gave it a shot, but they passed on it as well. Now, in 2014, NBC is ready to give the drama a real shot. Is the third time a charm?

To be fair, we understand the previous networks' hesitation. According to The Wrap, Babylon Fields is a zombie drama in which the flesh-eating creatures have a huge advantage over the human population. "The newly regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger than anyone else leading to the suspicion that they might be the next step in human evolution.” Pre-Walking Dead, that would have been a hard premise to sell.

Ulrich will play two very different roles on the show. He'll star as a priest called Father Harris and his estranged twin brother, Graham, who's a junkie and zombie. He'll be joined by Meagan Good (Deception) as the female lead, Janine Beltran. The actress was the first regular to join the pilot.

Will you be tuning in to Babylon Fields?
