Comic book character casting got a twofer recently with the announcement of new additions to Hulu's Locke and Key and Fox's The Gifted

According to Deadline, Nate Corddry (The Circle, Mom) will join Hulu's Locke and Key adaptation of Joe Hill's IDW comic of the same name. The pilot, directed by IT's Andy Muschietti and produced by Hill along with Carlton Cuse and IDW Entertainment, has cast Corrdry as Duncan Locke to co-star with The Conjuring 2's Frances O’Connor. The project has been in development for years, but this is a team that gets things done.

Over in the X-Men universe, Garret Dillahunt (Justified, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) has boarded Fox's The Gifted as mutant researcher Dr. Roderick Campbell. Dr. Cambell will be working for Sentinel Services and TV Line describes the character as "intense and intimidating". That sounds right up Dillahunt's alley, so I'm excited to see how that goes. I wonder what his mutant power could be?

The Gifted is currently set for an October 2 premiere. No word on an air date for Locke & Key currently.
