Fresh off his small screen debut in Daredevil’s second season, Marvel is getting ready to bring The Punisher back to the comic panel with a brand new series.

Some new preview pages and variant covers have been released, giving us a look at Frank Castle’s return in the All New, All Different universe. The new series will be written by Becky Cloonan (Gotham Academy), with art by legendary Punisher artist Steve Dillon. It’s centered on the appearance of a mysterious new drug that is creating super soldiers, and it seems Castle has a mysterious connection to the man behind the scheme.

Here’s the comic’s official synopsis:

A by-the-numbers drug bust is about to take Frank Castle by surprise – and he HATES surprises. There’s a new drug hitting the streets. One that has the ability to create unstable super soldiers. As the threads begin to pull loose, the man behind the drug’s startling connection to The Punisher is revealed. An old associate from Frank’s military days has resurfaced. But as he follows the trail of drugs and bodies deeper and deeper into the Northeast’s heart of darkness – has Frank Castle truly met his match?

The first issue of Punisher is set to hit shelves May 4.
