Kickstarter and other crowdfunding sites have given us the opportunity to see shows/movies and play games that we wouldn’t have had a chance to otherwise. One of the more interesting ones currently on offer: Friday the 13th, the videogame.

Former X-Play host Adam Sessler describes Ft13 as an asymmetric multiplayer game, that is, “one player plays Jason and everyone else plays counselors trying to make it through the night.”

In other words, most players have to use their cunning to survive. And one lucky duck gets to play an overpowered Jason.

The team behind the game is a who’s who list of Camp Crystal Lake and includes Sean S. Cunningham (director of Friday the 13th, producer); special effects icon Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Creepshow); Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th 7,8,9,10); and Harry Manfredini (composer, Friday the 13th).

Depending on how much money you kick in, your reward could include a download key for the game, a Tom Savini-designed Jason character with a unique weapon, or a group dinner with one member of the team. A full $10K will get you all the rewards, including your own camp counselor, which you design yourself.

Friday the 13th will be available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You have until Friday, Nov. 13 (Friday the 13th—geddit), to make this game a blood-soaked reality. Check out the Kickstarter page, here.
