A new trailer touting the entire first season of Ronald D. Moore’s Helix has been released, showing off Star Trek alum Jeri Ryan and a whole lot of freakiness.

The first two episodes found Dr. Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell) and his CDC team digging into the freaky pathogen unleashed at an arctic research base, and this new footage shows that things are about to get a whole lot worse as the season wears on.

We get our first look at former Star Trek: Voyager star Jeri Ryan’s Constance Sutton looking quite shady, while the effects of the virus start to take a toll on Farragut’s team (not to mention the base’s inhabitants). From an extremely mutated Peter Farragut (Neil Napier) to a mountain of blood-drenched corpses, the back half of season one looks loaded with intensity.

There also looks to be some growing debate over how the virus should be contained by those on the base. Judging by the guns and heated arguments, we'd think that's where that big pile of bodies comes in. Uh-oh.

The series airs Friday nights on Syfy.
