It may be a different reality, but the hits — and the laughs — keep coming.
The first full trailer for Season 2 of Future Man has popped up online, and if Josh Hutcherson's time-befuddled hero janitor, Josh Futterman, thought he had the future all figured out, he's in for a really big surprise — particularly when it comes to names like "Susan."
When last the sci-fi comedy left Futterman and his weirdo pals Tiger (Eliza Coupe) and Wolf (Derek Wilson), at the end of Season 1, they were captives of a group called the Pointed Circle, who were hell-bent on creating a weapon that can destroy the world.
But as Josh and company quickly discover, there's a lot more to this newly created timeline of theirs — especially for Futterman, who encounters a
boy man named Sue (Future Man co-creator Seth Rogen in a cameo), who informs him that Susan in this simulation is usually a dude's name.
Josh also assumes the code name Jesus given to him by the PC (it was either that or Allah, natch). As for Wolf, he finds himself now married to two beautiful husbands and three wives and referred to as Torque, while Tiger ends up meeting the daughter of Dr. Stu Camillo (Haley Joel Osment) who, to her surprise, also has a thing for lavender hair.
There's lots of comedic action and wacky hijinks to go around as the trio gropes their way towards saving humanity again.
Season 2 of Future Man premieres Jan. 11 on Hulu.
