FX released its video preview for the upcoming 2018 TV season and there’s plenty to love in its diverse portfolio of shows—but for genre fans—the big draw is likely our first peek at Legion's return.
After quite a bit of news at this past TCA, FX has a slate of new and returning shows sure to scratch your various televisual itches while updating Legion fans on what they can expect now that the parasitic Amahl Farouk has been jettisoned from character to character.
The sizzle reel drops a smattering of clips from the Bryan Singer-less second year of Legion and hey, even some footage of Brendan Fraser’s cowboy-hatted villain from the upcoming spy thriller Condor strutting down a hallway.
Take a look:
Fraser’s foreboding drawl isn’t the only thing raising questions in the clip show, as Legion’s David (Dan Stevens) looks around, wide-eyed, before professing that he simply wants to be normal. After last season's body-swapping, gas-lighting weirdo villain, who wouldn't appreciate some newfound sanity?
We know Farouk will be played by Homeland's Navid Negahban, which implies that he's leaving Oliver (Jemaine Clement), David, and Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) for different prey. That leaves the aforementioned victims to figure out who they really are.
The wild visuals and mind-opening set pieces promise another mind-trippy visual feast from the next season of the X-Men-related show, with plenty of mutant weirdness bolstering its mysteries.
Also some folks get stabbed in The Americans. Because who doesn’t love The Americans?
