If I had to pick a word to describe Gal Gadot, it would be unflappable. Well, actually, "gorgeously, powerfully unflappable." My second choice would be authentic. Put them together and Gadot is a woman who speaks her mind and doesn't tend to sugarcoat things. If she says it, you can pretty much bet she means it.
Which is why I found her comments in Rolling Stone about the director switch in Justice League — with Joss Whedon taking the reins from Zack Snyder following a family tragedy — so interesting.
"Look," she says. "Joss, to my understanding, was Zack's choice to finish the movie. And the tone can't be completely different because the movie was already shot. Joss is just fine-tuning."
That's a lot said in a few short sentences, but it basically comes down to "Everything's fine. Whatever you've heard, chill. We got this."
Which, to be quite honest, does more to allay my concerns than anything else I've heard. Because if Gal says it, it must be true.
If you have a chance, check out the full interview. There's an anecdote about how she threw the Miss Universe pageant that's way too much fun to pass up.
