We know Emilia Clarke’s wrapped on Game of Thrones’ final season, but you could bet safe money that the Daenerys Targaryen actress wasn’t leaving without an emotional goodbye - fiery, tearful, or otherwise. While fans will have to wait for that to materialize to the in-show canon, they can always look at Instagram to get an early fix of their favorite stars saying goodbye to the long-running HBO show.

“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade,” Clarke wrote on her farewell selfie. “It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #?#lastseasonitis.”

Her co-stars joined in on sending her off. Lena Headey, Cersei Lannister in the show, commented, “Sweet words. Love you and HOLY balls. #itistheend,” while Samwell Tarly portrayer John Bradley West posted that “It’s been the best. Ever. And you’ve been incredible.”

Clarke added a photo with Bradley, Lord Varys actor Conleth Hill, and show co-creator D.B. Weiss, calling them “The human embodiment of a wonderwall. Thank you #liamghallager for the reminder..”

Yeah, things are getting sappy. Jason Momoa, who’s long since moved on from the show - in which he played Khal Drogo - to ventures like Aquaman, commented that he was proud of Clarke while on other corners of the social media site, Sophie Turner was showing off her House Stark tattoo.

Game of Thrones begins its end in 2019 and the cast has already gotten up to Lord of the Rings levels of commemoration.
