Game of Thrones' real-life Riverrun castle can be yours for a hefty fee

Have you ever wanted to live like House Tully from Game of Thrones? Sure, they make some stupid decisions, and Edmure Tully couldn't hit an elephant with an arrow even if it was sitting in his lap — but there's no denying the beauty of Riverrun, their ancestral home. If this sounds good to you, then your time has come.

According to Variety, Gosford Castle in Northern Ireland is up for sale. The castle's exteriors were used to showcase Tully scenes set in Riverrun during Season 3 of Thrones, and while things didn't end up so well for the Tully family (or Riverrun, for that matter), Gosford Castle remains as beautiful as ever.

It was built in the mid-1800s, and contains over 15 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Catelyn Stark, a former Tully (played by Michelle Fairley), certainly grew up in style. At the moment, the castle is listed with a starting price of £500,000, which translates to $656,452 for Americans. We're not sure if the Iron Bank of Braavos lends out such sums, but you can always ask.

Maison Real Estate is handling the sale, and the property is broken down into such Thrones-tastic phrases as "The Inner Bailey," "The Round Tower," and "The Old Keep." All three places sound like they could host a variety of Thrones-style plotting/murder sessions. Are you interested in doing your scheming in the middle of a rooftop garden? The castle has them too.

To get a better idea of what you may be buying, take a look at this PropertyPal video, which highlights the castle in all its glory:

Interested in making a bid? Head on over to the Maison web site and check things out. Keep in mind that last time we looked, the castle had been overtaken by the Lannisters... they might not want to give it up. If you think you can outsmart Cersei and company, then have at it.
