If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you know that there's a virtually endless parade of merchandise out there to accompany the show. You can get T-shirts, posters, wine glasses, board games, sword replicas, and even beer. If you love the show and you've got the dough, you can cover your house in Thrones swag.
Now the hit HBO fantasy series is branching out into another realm of custom merchandise: stamps.
Royal Mail, the United Kingdom's postal service, has announced a new line of Game of Thrones stamps set to go on sale in a variety of formats on January 23. The main collection features 10 stamps spotlighting 10 different major characters from the series: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tywin Lannister, Eddard Stark, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, Olenna Tyrell, Sansa Stark, Jaime Lannister, and Tyrion Lannister. The line will also feature a five-stamp sheet highlighting non-human fixtures from the series, including the Night King, the Iron Throne, Giants, Dragons, and Direwolves.
That's all intriguing enough for Game of Thrones collectors, but Royal Mail is also rolling this line out with several bells and whistles. You can just get the stamps if you want, but you can also get them in — among other formats — a bundle that includes a map of Westeros and exclusive artwork, and an extremely limited edition (only 25,000 individually numbered copies) that includes the stamps plus medals depicting the sigils of House Targaryen and House Stark, made in collaboration with the Royal Mint.
All of the various stamp sets, including the limited-edition releases, are now available for pre-order at the Royal Mail website. If you love Game of Thrones a lot, even if you're not in the UK, you might want to check them out.
