Special features have been getting better by the year, but the Game of Thrones gang is going all out with the Season 5 release. Along with all the other goodies, how about a standalone animated short film?

The next Blu-ray release for the series will feature the 20-minute short film “Dance of Dragons,” detailing the two-year battle among Daenerys’ ancestors in House Targaryen during a dragon-filled civil war. Previous sets have also aimed to fill in narrative gaps from the past with narrated snippets, but this is by far the most ambitious effort to date.

HBO has revealed some preview footage from the special, and the art looks (as you can imagine) positively stunning. Though Thrones has never shied away from big-budget effects, it’s fun to imagine just how much fun they can have when literally everything is on the table via the freedom of animation. This should be really, really fun. Plus: Dragons!

The fifth season box set of Game of Thrones is set to hit shelves on March 15.
